NBKA has 2 honey extractors that are available for members to borrow and use. One is located in Norwich and comes with a separate settling tank, the other is held in Tunstead near Wroxham but has no settling tank.

The terms for borrowing the equipment are:

• You must be a current member of the NBKA
• A deposit of £20
• The loan period is 1 week, but during busy times the etiquette is to return the equipment as soon as possible for the next member to use
• “First come, first served” basis, as during busy flow periods, the demand for the extractors can be impossible to satisfy
• Bookings are possible to cover events, but must accommodate the demand from other members
• Transport, collection and return of the equipment is arranged by the member at a time that is mutually convenient for the current holder
• The items are all food-grade and must be returned in a clean condition – warm water and kitchen brushes work well
