Beginners’ workshop – Saturday 11th July 2020

Beekeeping Beginners’ Workshop on Saturday 11th July 2020 from 10:00am until about 2:00pm at Easton & Otley College Sports & Conference Centre, Nr. Norwich

Have you ever thought about keeping honeybees yourself but were not sure or did not know where to start? This workshop is aimed specifically at those who are interested in keeping honeybees and wish to know a little more about them and what is involved in keeping bees.

Experienced beekeepers will introduce you to bees and their lives within a colony. They will inform you about the responsibilities of a beekeeper and familiarise you with important issues this hobby involves.

During a coffee break you will have the opportunity to see various items of beekeeping equipment, talk to beekeepers and ask them questions.

Weather permitting you will also be able to look inside a live hive and, if you wish and under supervision, handle live bees.

At the end of the day you will know whether this is the hobby for you.

The Cost: £5.00 non-refundable
